Object Recognition Using Simulated Evolution on Fourier Descriptors

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing ((AINSC,volume 75))

Abstract

This work presents a study on object recognition of isolated objects. Fourier descriptors have been used as features of the outlines of the objects under discussion. The problem of selecting the best descriptors has been formulated as an optimization problem and solved using Evolution.
