Abstract
Since 1989, the translation technique for TBI treatments was used at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana with good clinical result. Due to the increasing unreliability of the system we currently use, we decided to design and manufacture a new system. New system proved to be reliable as the most important parameter that was tested, speed of the treatment table, can be controlled within 0.2% of the prescribed treatment table speed. The system was manufactured in cooperation with the company PS d.o.o, Logatec, Slovenia.
