Zusammenfassung

Kommunikationseinrichtungen stellen die dritte Säule im modernen Flugverkehrsmanagement dar. Ausgehend von der reinen Sprachkommunikation auf KW- und UKW-Frequenzen zwischen Fluglotsen und Flugzeugführern entwickelten sich in den letzten Jahren digitale Datenübertragungssysteme, sogenannte Datenlinks, welche die gerade im europäischen Zentralraum knappen Frequenzressourcen entlasten sollen. Hierzu werden Routinemeldungen nicht mehr per Sprachkommunikation, sondern anhand von digital übermittelten Kurzmitteilungen ausgetauscht. In diesem Kapitel werden – ausgehend von der Technologie des analogen Sprechfunks – die Systeme der UKW-Datenkommunikation, der Datenkommunikation mit Hilfe des Mode-S-Transpondersystems sowie der Satellitenkommunikation vorgestellt.
