Definition. Der systemische Lupus erythemathodes (SLE) ist eine B-Zell-vermittelte, chronisch-entzündliche Autoimmunkrankheit, die gekennzeichnet ist durch Produktion von Autoantikörpern gegen Zellkernbestandteile und Ablagerung von Immunkomplexen, die eine Vaskulitis verursachen. Zahlreiche Organe wie z. B. Haut, Niere, Lunge und ZNS können betroffen sein. Die Erstbeschreibung des SLE als Systemerkrankung erfolgte durch Kaposi 1872 (Abb. 87.1 , 87.2).
