Auszug
Unter thrombotischen Mikroangiopathien (TMA) versteht man einerseits das hämolytisch-urämische Syndrom (HUS; synonym M. Gasser) und andererseits die thrombotisch-thrombozytopenische Purpura (TTP; synonym M. Moschkowitz), die ähnliche pathologische und pathoanatomische Besonderheiten aufweisen. Die TMA ist eine Krankheit der kleineren Gefäße, der Arteriolen und Kapillaren, die mit einer lokalen Thrombosierung und einer Thrombopenie einhergeht.
