Abstract
A lot of problems of Chinese renewable energy (RE) industry are associated with the shortages of the qualified professional personnel. The enforcement of RE education is an effective way to promote the RE development, it is important also for sustainability of human resources in RE field. In this paper, the status of RE education in china and the some developed countries was surveyed with Universities and the higher educational institutions (HEIs) in China in the field of solar PV, wind and biomass power; secondly, the manpower need in the above three RE power industries is investigated and predicted according to the state medium and long term RE plan; finally, the executive plan of integrating RE education into national HEIs is discussed and proposed, and the political proposals are presented in the end.
