Abstract
The precise measurement of the expansion velocities at the photosphere of supernova atmospheres is very important, because i) they can be used to constrain theoretical models, and ii) distance measurement methods (e.g. the Expanding Photosphere Method) rely heavily on observed expansion velocities.
