Abstract
■ When describing the relationship of one anatomical structure to the other in the nose, use the cephalic–caudal and anterior–posterior orientation.
■ Nasal subunits should be taken into consideration when performing nasal reconstruction. Reconstruction of the entire subunit is preferred.
■ The anterior, middle, and posterior septal angles lend shape to the nasal tip.
■ An L-strut of at least 1.5 cm should be left in septoplasty to maintain nasal support.
