Abstract

Malignant lymphomas arise from the lymphatic system, which is widespread, mobile tissue with complex maturation. The precursor cells are located in the bone marrow, and the lymphoid stem cells differentiate into two distinct lymphatic lineages of T- and B-cell types, respectively. Lymphomas arise from both lineages, but not at all in proportion to their respective masses, and with large differences in incidence in children and adults, and in the Western countries in contrast to Asia and Latin America.
