Abstract
In his posthumous book, Lebanon: the Unachieved Dream, Samir Kassir writes of the dream of a Lebanon “enriched by its differences, freed from confessional and clannish constraints, a state devoted to its citizens […], a free and democratic society…” In this sense, he says: “It is not about resurrecting the old Lebanon […] but about reinventing another.”
