I. „Protest Policing“ bezeichnet die polizeiliche „Behandlung“ und Kontrolle von Protestierenden. Der Ausdruck wurde von Donatella della Porta in die sozialwissenschaftliche Diskussion eingeführt. Sie definiert Protest Policing als “the police handling of protest events — a more neutral description for what protestors usually refer to as ‘repression’ and the state as ‘law and order’” (Porta/Reiter 1998, S. 1).
