Zusammenfassung
Die linearen Modelle in Kapitel III gehen von der Annahme aus, dass die Kriteriumsvariable Y metrisch skaliert ist und dass ihr Erwartungswert eine lineare Funktion vom Modellparameter β ist. Bei der Konstruktion von Konfidenzintervallen und von Tests benötigen wir dann noch die Annahme der Normalverteilung. In vielen Anwendungsfällen sind eine oder (meistens) mehrere dieser Voraussetzungen verletzt.
