Abstract
This project requires the development of survey weights and an analysis file for a survey of U.S. military personnel. Members of the military reserves were asked a variety of questions about job satisfaction. Specific tasks include: (1) develop the design weights for this single-stage stratified simple random sample; (2) specify the mapping of response status codes into the general categories—eligible respondent, eligible nonrespondent, ineligible, or unknown; (3) apply weight adjustments to the design weights to address bias; (4) tabulate population means and standard errors using the resulting analysis weights; and (5) summarize the weight methodology within a final report targeted to a fictitious client.
