Abstract

The dawn of the wireless era attracted visionaries who recognized the potential of communications far beyond that of cable and telegraph. Two individuals were to play a major part in igniting public interest and gaining support in the growth of a new revolution in communications. Guglielmo Marconi and Hugo Gernsback were to create a revolutionary synergy through the interaction of their individual efforts. The resulting flow of information communications formed a network which would ultimately lead to creating the current information superhighway.
