The operating room is the orthopaedic surgeon’s carpenter workshop—not to minimize the importance of the job. This psychomotor specialty requires three-dimensional awareness and technical skills, along with an understanding of biology and bone healing. This chapter reviews some of the carpentry skills required to attain the objective.
