Abstract
This current paper will present a research proposal with regard to the effect of stress on virtual teams. The proposed research will specifically concentrate on the virtual teams’ stress as double constructs (positive stress as the challenge and negative stress as the hindrance), cohesion as social support to mitigate the stress, and how these three factors will affect the virtual teams’ knowledge sharing, satisfaction, and performances. A study which incorporates an experimental research methodology will be specifically proposed to test the aforementioned relationships. Related literature reviews on stress, hypotheses development, as well as experimental research design will be mentioned in the paper.
