Abstract

Tuning of PID controllers is a hard task, sometimes that’s almost an art. Different paradigms have been proposed to optimize the tuning of these controllers, some of them have given acceptable results, others have not done it. From heuristics to artificial intelligence have been used, but in this paper we used Type-2 Fuzzy Logic to tuning a PID controller applied in three transfer functions, and we obtained their step responses, then we compared them with the Type-1 Fuzzy Logic’s results.
