Abstract
Phototherapy is a second-line treatment option for atopic dermatitis recalcitrant to topical therapies. Although the overall phototherapy protocols for atopic dermatitis are similar to that of psoriasis, there are issues unique to the atopic dermatitis population. For example, BB-UVB may be better tolerated than NB-UVB. Initiation burn is also more common in atopic dermatitis.
