Correction to: Chapter 11 in: M. Chisolm-Straker, H. Stoklosa (eds.), Human Trafficking Is a Public Health Issue, https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-47824-1_11

In Chapter 11 titled “Physical Health of Human Trafficking Survivors: Unmet Essentials” a paragraph of this chapter on page 193 was published with errors. It has been updated in all renditions of the book to read as follows:

Repeated sexual abuse, sexually transmitted infections, and a lack of access to contraception during trafficking are related to high risk of unplanned pregnancy and other gynecological symptoms. In one U.S. study, 63.8% of sex trafficking survivors reported at least one gynecologic symptom such as pain during sex or urinary tract infections. Of those who reported pregnancies, 71.2% reported at least one pregnancy during their exploitation, and 21.2% reported five or more pregnancies. Among those who responded to questions regarding termination of pregnancy, 55.2% reported at least one abortion and 29.9% reported multiple abortions [37].
