The topics of this book are meant to go well beyond mathematical equations, to allow the reader to obtain some insights into broader socio-enviro-political events, of which a few are presented here as illustration. At the time of this writing, in 2016, there have been significant concerns regarding droughts (weather power-law); in some places these concerns may be a matter of lifestyle and convenience, in others a matter of crisis and starvation.
