Abstract

The previous history The British Paediatric Association 1928–1988 reveals how the topic of college status became an increasingly important subject of discussion and debate for paediatricians. During the 1970s and 1980s, the subject dominated the business at annual general meetings (AGMs) and led to important referenda of BPA members.
