Abstract
Aortic disease is not as prevalent in India as in the West. Apart from the usual presentations of aortic disease viz. aneurysms, occlusions and dissections, a vast spectrum of disease is prevalent. This includes Takayasu Arteritis with it sequale, Tuberculous and non-specific arteritis, Primary Aortic Mural Thrombosis and aortic tropical infections. The open and endovascular management of these entities is well developed in India. We present the aortic experience of 2 of the largest centres in India.
