Abstract
The cerebellar nuclei are the final output structures of the cerebellum, integrating extra-cerebellar inputs from climbing fibres and mossy fibres with inhibitory signals from Purkinje cells. As in overlying cortical layers, cerebellar nuclei contain a mixture of glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons, which develop from the rhombic lip and ventricular zone, respectively.
