IIW Guidelines on Weld Quality in Relationship to Fatigue Strength

Part of the book series: IIW Collection ((IIWC))

Abstract

Fatigue in welds is to a great extent governed by geometric issues. This includes not only the local size of things in the weld but also all kinds of irregularities and imperfections that can be found and which are named in the language of the workshop as defects.
