Abstract
We have observed coherent phonons of singlet and triplet exciton states in a rubrene single crystal at 35 K. Our results suggest that the instantaneous triplet exciton formation through the singlet fission of the rubrene single crystal generates coherent phonons on the potential energy surface of a triplet exciton.
