Abstract
Doctoral students face a number of unique challenges as they navigate through doctoral programs. Not only must they become productive researchers and great teachers, but they must also manage the demands of coursework and service. The special session focuses on sharing experiences and providing advice on how to successfully balance all of the demands while also excelling on multiple fronts. There is a focus on teaching and time management, with time allotted during the special session for attendees to ask specific questions about their situations. The teaching presentations are organized around the idea of service provision where the students are the consumers.
