Abstract
The Article is about diagnosing and evaluating of faults at gear contact transmissions by vibrodiagnostics. It describes a diagnostic unit for testing planetary gearboxes by the vibrodiagnostics, designed at the Department of Design and Mechanical Elements. The Article interprets faults occurring at sun gear on the first planetary gearing of a tested transmission and its manifestation in a whole transmission vibration frequency spectrum, being compared with an undamaged frequency spectrum.
