Abstract
Gabriele Falloppio was one of the most distinguished Italian anatomists and physicians of the sixteenth century. He made multiple significant discoveries, for instance, regarding the anatomy of the internal ear and of the reproductive organs, but also was consequential in the development of the genre of anatomical observationes.
