Zusammenfassung

Das Ausmaß der negativen und positiven Interaktion, das in Kapitel 6 die zentrale Variable ist, wurde in der nachfolgend beschriebenen Weise ermittelt. Wir gehen hierbei grundsätzlich wie in der Skizze von Abb. 8. 1. vor. Negative und positive Interaktion bilden jeweils ein Kontinuum, das von der maximalen Stärke (Wert 10) bis zur minimalen Stärke (Wert 0) reicht. Beide Formen der Interaktion können natürlich parallel zueinander vorkommen. Die weitere Ausarbeitung dieses Konzepts ist nicht (math) einfach; es sollen ja nicht nur bestimmte Aspekte von Konflikt und Kooperation erfaßt werden. Vielmehr soll das Gesamtphänomen meßbar gemacht werden. Die Konfliktintensität und die Kooperationsintensität als hoch aggregierte Variablen lassen sich jedoch nicht mehr anhand von wenigen und einfachen Indikatoren erfassen. Die Skizze von Abb. 8. 1. weist in die hier anvisierte Richtung einer Lösung. Es ist in unserem Falle unumgänglich, die Operationalisierung direkt an Ereignissen festzumachen. Das Problem besteht nun darin, Ereignisse dem quantitativen Zugriff verfügbar zu machen. Dazu muß zunächst eine Typologie von Ereignissen entwickelt werden, die dann einzeln zu bewerten wären.
