Zusammenfassung

Lichen planus ist eine häufige chronische mukokutane Krankheit, die oft die Mundschleimhaut betrifft. Die Ätiologie der Krankheit ist bisher noch unbekannt; jedoch weisen Belege in der Literatur auf eine wichtige Rolle hin, die durch eine Dysregulation des Immunsystems gespielt wird. In diesem Kapitel heben wir die klinischen Varianten des oralen Lichen planus hervor und nennen diagnostische Kriterien und Behandlungsempfehlungen.
