Abstract
This chapter explores the concept of a process perspective on design and development. The terms in this phrase are clarified. The value of adopting a process perspective is discussed and the elements of such a perspective are outlined. Finally, some comments on how to adopt a process perspective in practice are provided. Overall, this chapter provides both an introduction to and a synopsis of the book.
