Solar-Pumped Lasers

Abstract

In this chapter, the numerical tools for solid-state laser design are introduced. Non-sequential Zemax® ray-tracing analysis is first explained for the optimization of solid-state laser design parameters. Laser cavity analysis and design (LASCAD™) software is also addressed for the evaluation of the laser output performance. An example of numerical analysis of a solar-pumped laser is also given.
