Abstract
This chapter describes the most frequent phenomena commonly described as “functional” neurologic disorders, i.e., disturbances for which no actual physical brain or nerve damage or dysfunction can be documented. The most frequent conditions are pseudoseizures or nonepileptic seizures. Patients often exhibit often anxiety, difficulty speaking of it, and perfectionism.
