Abstract

This chapter integrates the outcomes of the book into a heuristic that invites and helps teachers to explore and shape their situated pedagogical responses to the complex challenges that permeate contemporary society. In closing, this chapter highlight five openings to continue this quest, focusing on (1) educational research methodology, (2) teacher education, (3) schools as professional communities, (4) curriculum design, and (5) exemplary pedagogical practices.
