Abstract
One of the main problems when it comes to letting people meet together at a certain time is dealing with delays, due to traffic congestion or a lack of coordination. In this work, we rely on smart-cities-context-awareness power to design a system that optimizes the approach towards points of interest according to suggestions, in order to make participants aware of the current overall positions of other participants. Specifically, starting from the estimated times of arrival of participants, this system aims at reducing the amount of time that a participant has to wait for other people, when he gets to the point of interest. To do so, custom suggestions are provided, to let people know if they have to adjust their time of arrival, by improving the context awareness. The proposal builds a collection of suggestions to provide coordination among people. The solution is developed by using Neo4j, a native graph-based DBMS.
