Abstract
Following on from the previous chapter, here I will focus on assessing what changed in the post #metoo era in the representation of violence against women in the press. In the previous, chapter I showed how many scholars, journalists, and activists have heralded the changes #metoo supposedly brought about. I also problematised many of the expectations placed upon #metoo, and I argued that, as a hashtag, #metoo can only facilitate social change, but it should not be solely and fully held responsible for it. So, here I am going to investigate whether the mainstream British press was positively affected by the #metoo message.
