What Is Cybersex?

Cybersex is a phenomenon that emerged with the invention of the Internet and is becoming a new model of sexual activity. The number of individuals who satisfy sexual desires in cyberspace is growing every day. Sexual activities in the online sphere cover the entire spectrum: from the passive use of pornography to the active exchange of explicit materials and interactions with other users (Griffiths, 2012). Cybersex involves using the Internet to engage in activities that bring sexual satisfaction and express one’s sexuality (Cooper et al., 2004; Cooper et al., 2003).
