Abstract

A future can be painted, can be wished for, can be reasoned, but best is to actively work toward a future that benefits the individual and the society. It is a good practice—and we do it for this article as well—to analyze the current situation and formulate a future goal.

Healthcare is complicated and many stakeholders are involved that have—also not unexpected—different goals with respect to what future for health delivery should look like.

It is not the intention of this paper to go into all the details and present all the reasons why we are doing, what we are doing, and why there are many difficulties to overcome, but to have and present an optimistic view.

Knowing all the different interest helps you to empathize however. Analyzing the healthcare providers gives you valuable information on current value propositions for innovation, and by looking at technological possibilities and general developments combined with some future predictions will allow you to look a little into the future.

This paper will present some of the issues and some ideas and methodologies that innovators and stakeholders are considering and using.
