Abstract
Since the spread of coronavirus and the disease it causes, COVID-19, institutes of higher education have radically transformed from conventional teaching methods to non-traditional methods using remote learning and microlearning tools. This chapter examines the use of infographics as a microlearning tool during the COVID-19 crisis period. Using a Canadian university as a case study, the chapter explores factors associated with the use of infographics during this period. Findings indicate the design and accessibility of infographics, learning styles of faculty members and students, and overload of information are associated with the use of infographics. The penultimate sections of the chapter present implications of these findings on approaches to design and share infographics to support faculty members and students in a predicted post-COVID world.
