Abstract

The paper deals with the energy efficiency of various types of hybrid road trains. The calculation results showed that the energy consumption for the internal combustion engine of the tractor is almost halved. A comparison is made of hybrid road trains with a generator set and various programs for using generator sets. A simulation mathematical model was used to calculate the energy consumption. The calculation was performed in the MatLab Simulink software environment. Based on the results obtained, conclusions were drawn about the energy efficiency of various types of hybrid road trains with an active trailed link.
