Perspective; Imperfect but Better Than Shouting

Abstract

The story developed through this work integrates the main geophysical observations, fluid dynamical principles, diverse geochemical observations and a vast accumulation of geological observations into a single general model of how the Earth’s interior works. That of course has been the goal of a great deal of work by many people, many more than have been mentioned here. There would still be many details to be explored and many aspects to refine, and that is a process with no definite end, but if the broad framework is reasonably accurate then those questions will be profitably pursued.
