Abstract

This chapter provides an analytically critical and integrated conclusion. It brings together the main arguments in the preceding chapters and reflects on the differences in the structure and standing of the JSD or SJD degree programs and the Ph.D. in law program. This chapter also offers perspectives on the value of a higher doctorate, as a rare qualification that stands authoritatively at the apex and pinnacle of the echelon of all doctorates.
