Abstract
In this chapter, we address the consensus problem of double integrators over switching network topology. Both continuous- and discrete-time (sampled data) system dynamics are taken into account.

An edge contraction is an operation which removes an edge from a graph while simultaneously merging together the two nodes that the edge connected. All other edges incident to either of the two nodes become incident to the single merged node.
