Abstract

If Islam today is a growing demographic, cultural and political force on the international stage, other religions have noticed this and have responded with a stronger politicization partly accompanied by a growing Anti-Islamist stance. This does not mean that the re-politicization trend in global politics is just a reaction to the growth of Islam. The overall development sees various global religions closely interweaved in their (re-)politicization.
