Abstract

Dwellers of the forest floor, the 15 species of Nephelaphyllum are distributed from India, Bangladesh and China to Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina to West Malesia occurring in low and mid-montane forests (Chen and Wood 2009). Rhizomes are creeping, covered with thin sheaths. Pseudobulbs are slender, ensheathed by a single leaf petiole. Leaf blade is cordate, marbled with light and dark green or brown. Inflorescence is short, crowded or sparse, bearing non-resupinate flowers.
