Abstract
This chapter discusses trends in greenhouse gas emissions in cities primarily in the building sector and priorities for climate action for mitigation in the light of global temperature goals. Possible technology/measures for climate action sourced from IPCC and IEA literature, carbon market mechanisms and those indicated in recently prepared Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of countries are included.
