Abstract

This chapter covers some of the most important topics in emergency medicine. We begin with seizures and headaches, followed by meningitis and neuromuscular disorders. Visuals help to better understand how a ventriculoperitoneal shunt works. We also review transient ischemic attacks, cerebrovascular accidents, and their management and conclude with illustrations that depict the peripheral neuropathies of the hand.
