Abstract
To get a more complete picture and draw some conclusions about the interest of simple models for understanding reality, let’s take an example from standard physics. I will show that the extensive control over reality permitted by laboratories allows to deeply entwine models and reality, giving confidence that what goes inside the computer is pretty similar to what is going on in the experiments.
