Abstract
In this chapter we present the E-XR development pipeline of explorable environments. The pipeline uses the visual knowledge-based behavior model (Chap. 5)—to enable behavior representation, and the semantic link model (Chap. 6)—to enable query-based composition of explorable XR environments. The pipeline consists of several stages, which are accomplished by users with different skills, including developers and domain experts. The stages performed by developers provide libraries of reusable XR components, which are further used by domain experts composing various explorable XR environments. The pipeline enables development of explorable XR environments from scratch and transformation of existing environments into their explorable counterparts.
