Abstract
For the ease of the reader, in this chapter we present some results of functional analysis: in particular, we show how a finite dimensional normed vector space and a infinite dimensional normed vector space enjoy different properties, and which are some basic points that make a Hilbert space different from a pre-hilbertian space.
